WAP has a long history of working with a broad range of partners from the statutory, voluntary and community sectors. Our target groups are those who are living in disadvantaged communities and those experiencing poverty or social exclusion. We deliver, coordinate and implement a broad range of programmes and projects in Waterford to support the needs of individuals and groups experiencing disadvantage or social exclusion. These include unemployed people who need supports to become job ready.

This organisation is new to EU funding and will be supported by the Access Europe team.

EU Funding Goals

Interested in working with organisations in the areas of adult education and training, social justice, sustainability, Social inclusion, and Community Development. In the short term we would like to build a network of Irish and European organisations to learn and illicit innovative approaches to community development and social exclusion mitigations. In the medium to long term, we would like to integarate European funding streams in to our suite of state funded programmes for the benefit Waterford


Strengths

Waterford Area Partnership has extensive experience in delivering state funded programmes. We have a dedicated team who are highly trained in programme delivery, programme monitoring, and financial control. We have ample experience as project leads in the Social Inclusion and Community Activation Programme, AMIF, and other programmes that contain elements of ESF funding. Waterford Area Partnership works daily with target groups, stakeholders, and agencies across the County who will directly benefit from EU funded projects.
