Pocket Forests

Pocket Forests reimagine urban spaces by growing pockets of native forests with communities, creating thriving soil, biodiversity, climate resilience and natural habitat networks. We involve communities in soil preparation, tree planting and maintenance. This reconnects people with each other and their shared green spaces. To date we have planted more than 80 Pocket Forests around Ireland, working with over 1100 volunteers and over 3000 trees.

EU Funding Goals

We would like to focus on building a network, and learning about EU funding initially.

Within 2 years we expect to be ready as a partner in projects.

Our 5 year plan is to have a specific collaboration project around the EU with fellow tree planting projects in urban communities.

The Pocket Forests team is good at connecting with communities.

We are a professional organisation with an extensive range of experience between us.
