Localise Youth Volunteering

Localise is a national youth and community organisation with the aim of creating a world where all young people have the opportunity to volunteer locally and become pro-active citizens and community leaders. At Localise we believe that partnerships benefit our young people, the wider community and those in need. EU Project Experience

No experience

This organisation is new to EU funding and will be supported by the Access Europe team.

EU Funding Goals

We are particularly interested in promoting rights and values by empowering the civic space through youth volunteerism.

We want to build our capacity to deliver programmes nationally and to build a network of shared learning in the youth volunteering space across Europe.

We are also interested in utilising technology to recognise, record and reward youth volunteerism for significant life events such as matriculation to higher education and accessing the world of work.

Strengths

We are particularly good at developing planned programmes of youth volunteerism where participants plan and execute volunteering activities at first hand.

We are visionaries with a plan to change the lens by which the value of volunteerism is viewed, in our view volunteering in the service of others holds significant learning.
