Creative Lives

Creative Lives supports and promotes people being creative in their everyday lives. We work with communities, organisations, policy-makers, funders, and creative individuals as a voice for positive change, to improve and expand the landscape in which creative participation can take place. We work to address inequalities in access to creative participation, promote inclusivity, connect people and communities, and seek to increase awareness of the links between creativity and wellbeing.

EU Funding Goals

Peer learning with other national policy and advocacy-focused organisations across Europe. Conducting research to benchmark and compare the landscape in different countries. Explore unexpected partnerships with those working in different fields to find common ground.

Strengths

Our specific area of expertise is creative participation in communities. Our focus is on citizen-led, self-governed cultural expression and the personal, social, health, economic, and environmental benefits this brings. We are a very well run organisation, trusted by many funders over several decades and we have a great deal of experience now in managing the often daunting bureaucracy of European funded projects. We bring a long history of work across Ireland, the UK and Europe that is rooted in local communities. We have a great network of contacts across the arts & culture sector and charity sector, as well as political and policy circles.
