Objectives

The LIFE programme supports projects that aim to:

• help communities transition towards a more sustainable, circular, energy-efficient, renewable energy-based, climate-neutral and resilient economy

• protect, restore and enhance the environment

• halt and reverse biodiversity loss

• stop the degradation of ecosystems

‍

Who can apply?

‍

• nonprofit organisations

• public authorites

• citizens groups

• academia and higher education institutions

• research centres

• large and small companies

Application Process

‍

1. Explore Access Europe’s EU Funding Guide and Open EU Funds  

2. Develop your project idea — we recommend drafting a concept note to share with potential partners.

3. Contact us at Access Europe for guidance or support. We offer training and tailored resources to help you prepare.

4. Get in touch with the National Contact Point: LIFE@dcee.gov.ie

5. Submit your project proposal!

They're currently accepting Expressions of Interest for one-to-one consultations for applicants to the 2025 LIFE Call (across all four sub-programmes).
This is a free opportunity to receive personalised, expert advice on your draft proposal.

Submit a short summary of your project to LIFE@dcee.gov.ie by 5pm, 12 June 2025
