With support from the European Commission Representation in Ireland, The Wheel delivered a successful series of events to engage civil society with the Conference on the Future of Europe (CoFoE).
CoFoE is a year-long EU-wide project to seek citizens’ views about Europe’s future challenges and priorities on a variety of topics ranging from gender equality to climate change.
We were delighted by the turnout and engagement from the participants. Each of the events featured input from a partner organisation on a selected topic and facilitated break out rooms to allow participants to discuss their key recommendations for the EU. All participant recommendations were compiled into the below reports and uploaded to the Conference on the Future of Europe’s digital platform for the European Commission’s review. Check out the reports and your fellow EU citizens’ ideas here:
We would like to thank our event partners Irish Rural Link, New Communities Partnership, National Women’s Council and Disability Federation of Ireland for their support with this series and all of the participants for their commitment to active EU citizenship!
